Our offering to you
Sitting down and experiencing a Greek meal isn’t only about eating. It is about the experience of sharing plates, picking from the multitude of small flavour exploding morsels (Meze) prepared with pathos (Passion) where the recipes are sourced from all over Greece. In the Greek culture we believe that it is not only about eating but about getting together, socialising, sharing life’s daily experiences, laughing and having a good time.
How we do it
At Akropolis Noosa we aim to tantalise your taste buds and find a budget that suits your needs. After initial contact has been made, we will organise a meeting to showcase our menus. We will then endeavour to tailor a feast to suite both your dietary and budgetary needs. When you have created your menu, we will then prepare a tasting platter for you to sample the delicious food you have chosen. Upon finalising your choice of menu, dates are booked deposits are taken and our journey with you begins.
Where our raw goods come from
Weather and availability permitting, we source our products from local producers like Shambala farms in Doonan, Noosa Reds tomatoes who are also in Doonan and the Mary Valley Country Harvest Co – Operative. We also source most of our Dairy products from locals in the Montville and Kenilworth regions. We are currently in negotiations with local farmers for our meats as well. Our belief is in a community that helps and supports each other and keeps local people employed in our region.
Environmental
At Akropolis Noosa we aim to leave as little of an environmental footprint as we can. An example of this is we predominantly use Biopak as our packaging suppliers who’s products are 100% recycable. Also in our trailer kitchen we use a 50/50 mixture of natural gas and electricity. As soon as we are up and running we will be collecting all of our vegetable scraps and putting them in our worm compost bin. We will then be using the bi product in our garden in Doonan.
